Hey all,
Since my Matrix chip broke, I am sending it back and instead of getting another Matrix, I am wondering if getting a X2.2 Lite + is worth the extra 10$.

The only thing that the chip really has to do is work. (I dont use XBL or plan to...ever.)

But extra features are always welcome, so that is why i am wondering if the 10$ is worth it.

And also, i see alot of people having problems with these chips fragging for them, should I be concerned about this since this is the solderless version?

Lastly, is flashing a X2.2 thru a CD-RW risky as opposed to flashing a Matrix with the LPT programmer?

Thanks a lot guys biggrin.gif beerchug.gif beerchug.gif

Never used a matrix chip but flashing an xecuter chip is easy, you can do it from the dash! Deffo worth gettin one bud, and the only reason people are having trouble with 2.2's are they dont realise they dont come pre-flashed!

if its not flashed how to u get to the dash to flash it?
Softco Industries
Yes they do, with Cromwell. Some cases have been with (rare) defects with chips, or they come unflashed. Buy the $15 programmer, it saved my ass big time laugh.gif
If you do a bad flash through EvoX, you can flash it with your PC. Get it if you can afford it.
