I am currently using slayers Evox 2.5 install and was wondering if its possible to lose evox altogether and just boot into Xbmp and will i be able to install Gentoox, Emulators and all apps that come with slayers into Xbmp?

I don't know much about Slayers Install disk, but you can definitely use XBMP as your dashboard. You may have to manually edit and transfer some files on your xbox HDD through FTP or Boxplore. Details on using it as a dashboard are covered in the manual. And apps can be added by editing your xbmp config.xml file.

It works very well as a dash - plus having icons for your programs, emulators, and games is a nice touch. Slayer's isn't going to help you with this so you will have to set it up yourself. As stated above the manual is your best source of information to get started.

What i want to do is format my hard drive and setup xbmp to be my dash and boot all other apps, games, emulators and Gentoox

I also would like to do a native install of gentoox on the F drive.

I know you can add gentoox to xbmp but will it boot up without any problems, cos when i installed gentoox it said something about only working with Evox and not Avalaunch etc.

Does anyone know if this setup will work?
