I am in desperate need for some help. I have an XALX2+ chip installed, Thomson DVD.
I have burned an image of box EvoX & Slayer's installer however none of them will boot. I have followed all instructions I can find on how to setup/burn ISO images. I am using a Verbatim CDRW CD (2 tried so far).
I get a Blue screen with the below in it:

I do this and it just comes back to the Please insert CD & Press A Button again!

I have been at this for 2 weeks now, trying to find the best software/CDRW's etc and I am still having no luck.

If anyone has had the same problem pls give me a hand.

you need to install a bios on your chip it has been supplied with the linux one for legal reasons. I recommend downloading the EvolutionX M7 Bios these are available from the usual places and get one with a blue logo so you know when its on. Extract the bios then burn onto a cd now turn on your xbox and it will flash the bios.

You will now be able to boot of the evox cd but i would use SLAYER'S EVOX AUTO-INSTALLER V2.5 this makes life easy.

Yep, you will need to reflash the clean bios with a bios of your own. You said you have an X2+ Chip? then you will need a 1mb bios. After the bios is flashed, you can boot with your slayers cd.

You say the chip you have is a XALX2+. I belive this is an ALX2+ or an ALX2+r3 which require a 256k bios which the EvolutionX M7 Bios is.

Marmite is confusing this chip with an xecuter because of the misleading X in the name and the X2 part. On the newer chips ALX2+r3 they even preload an xecuter bios.....cheeky

Yes the XALX+2 are the ALX+ chips just renamed by a company ( The Blade i believe ) and they charge a shitload ontop of what the chip is worth any aussies reading this dont buy from them . And the r3 chips use m7 blue bios hacked a little

I downloaded bios as suggested and burn't to cd. My Xbox won't read it.
I have now been told that I require a flashing tool. Which is fine, but all the flashing tools i can find run from pc, and i can't connect my pc to my xbox as i don't have the software on the xbox yet to give it an ip address????

Has anyone any ideas???
