alright guys this is what happened i ripped espn football, basketball, and hockey to my puter via ftp with the box. everything went smooth. all and by the way i did not transfer over the update or dashupdate files but did not think that would matter. then i went through making iso images of them so they could be burned. here is where i ran into trouble. hockey and basketball went fine. but football tries but then gets an error. i am using isomaker 2.0. it flashes quick but it just say that the file failed to copy or something like that. i was starting to think that maybe something went wrong in the ftp but that does not make sense. so i also thought that it might be the size. i have to transfered a file of that size before. it is like 4+ gig. i wonder where the temp file is for that. i might be that when it is making it the temp folder is not allowed to be that big. do not know if i am just blowing hot wind or not so if anyone has an idea give me a yell

Try using Craxtion to create the ISO and RecordMax to burn it. I don't know what you're using but Nero sometimes has problems with 4+ gig ISOs on some machines.

i am not having trouble burning i runs nicer than any other prog on my machine. the problem is iso maker 2.0. it uses gdfimage to make a dgfed iso. it is not completing the task. it has a copy failure when i try to make the iso. i looked but i do not know where the temp file for it would be. i do not have a folder option for my regular temp file that regulates size of the temp folder(aka percentage of disk to use). i upped my recycle bin to accomodate but not temp directory. can not find it. i think it might be the prob cuz everything else runs smooth except for this file. i think because it is the only thing i have over 4 gig. the closest i came was 3.7 gig. so if anyone can help a bro i would appreciate it

What file system are you using? If you're using FAT32 then you may have to update to NTFS. FAT32 has a 4 GB filesize limit. If you are using NTFS then just try giving Craxtion a shot.

i have been told that I need to run slayer in order to have any hopes of saving my timed out harddrive, do I need a modchip in order to go about this?

one i do not know why aphrodite jsut all of a sudden posted in my thread when it has nothing to do with it. he should have started a new thread.
anyways would it be possible to partition my drive and ntfs jus the new partition and keep the original one fat32 so i do not risk loosing info.

You do not lose anything information when going from FAT32 to NTFS.

MS.com has a good tutorial on how to convert. It's easy and takes about 20-25 mins.
