Just wondering if Snes emulation reached its end or is it still being worked on?

whats goin on?

Great stuff currently by the way.
Iriez
lantus is working on it, aswell as spending a large amount of time working on the 1.42 release of the official Snes9x.
lantus
yes its still being worked on..i was looking to release it last week but i found a few problems that held it back. Its getting closer each day so just sit tight a bit longer.

what is there to update?
xsnes9x works fine doesn't it? it does for me...

I have to agree. This is by far the best emulator ever released for the xbox. I'm confused about what could possibly be improved..... Maybe... (thinking to myself) (screenshot previews on the front end)(yeah that would be nice).

Lantus this is by far the number one emulator of all times.

All I wanted was a filter choice. I am getting the filter choices. So I a very happy.

Thank you Lantus. beerchug.gif

yea it's indeed a great emulator
but........i lost the files for it on pc and never downed it again just to check readme/nfo whatever
but was there a select button mapped?
cuz i have some roms that require select and i couldn't figure it out
i might've just missed it somehow
anyways keep up the good work
lantus

Just a little thing that would be nice to see in the new build:
In the SNES 9X menus its not possible to"scroll" through them, what i mean is, that when u have selected the lowest option in the menu and u press down again, you dont end on top of the menu, it just doesnt go any further.

It would be nice if this would be possible - its just a very small thing smile.gif
Thx for this fantastic SNES emu lantus smile.gif

yes, considering the old ones did =p

Will 480p support finally be included? It's the only thing the SNES emus lack at this point, IMO...
tom_g05
Yeah Action Replay and Game-genie was already supported except the game-genie was broken in some way and doesn't work, but pro action replay works fine for me. Not that I cheat or anthing tongue.gif .

Will StarOcean be working in the new release? If it already does I can't seem to get it to laugh.gif

Samba has always worked great under XBMP, XBMC and MAMoX. The only Samba issues existed in Xport emulators, but he has fixed that in his latest version of Neogenesis. He also stated he would be moving this codebase to all his EMUs ...

Why? Snes roms are tiny a complete rom set is just over 3gig yes, complete romsets are pointless on your box you spend more time trying to find a game to play that playing it.

You could fit every snes game worth playing in under 1/2 a gig so why bother? I can understand PSX iso's but everything else is tiny enough for it to be more hassle than it's worth to samba share them. If you were really bothered you could just install gentoox, emerge snes9x and share your windows drives using the built in samba support.

You could try zsnes then as well (although the h3qx filters would run too slow to be playable.)

Never tried xsnesx but when lantus releases a build with lightgun support I'll have to have a look.

Why? *snip*

Unless you have more than one system that will be using the files, then you're just wasting space storing them in multiple locations.

Loading linux wouldn't be a very good solution since there is indeed opensource samba code for use on the xbox.
