I am new to backing up. I have managed to ftp a game, create an iso, burn it and then play it just fine, but only once. Since then I have tried to make a back up of True Crime: Streets of LA but to no avail.
I am using the same media as before.
Burning at 2x
Used several iso creating tools.
Several burning programs.
This is what happens:
I boot up the XBox to the evox dash, insert the back up, it is recognised as a game in the top right corner of the screen, press 'launch DVD', the Evox logo appears, then after a few seconds, the Evox dashboard returns and the game doesn't boot.
I am pretty certain that the integrity of the iso is good and the disc is burned accordingly to the general rules. However I am getting tired of making 'coasters'
Can anyone please help.
Thanks!!
Evox version 3921
Bios Evox 2.4
Kernel 1.00.4034.01

Ive got exactly the same problem with DOAX. I know its a good iso because I extracted it onto my HD and it works fine, but I need the HD space for other things now. I burned it onto a DVD (1x, bulkpaq oranges) and now it wont work - the drive just makes strange whirring noises (not normal) for a few seconds then I get sent back to the EvoX dash. Pretty sure its not a media problem because I have working DVDs from the same batch.
Can someone please help?

Also try disabling IGR in the evox ini as I have seen games do that when it is set to Yes so change it to No

Just found out it was a media problem despite the fact that my box usually works no matter what I throw at it, and the fact that the dvds have worked for other things. I switched to my new +RW drive and the xbox reads perfectly - no lag/jerky videos or anything. Perfect. Thanks for trying to help though.
Bulkpaq loses another customer due to low quality crappy products: ignore the "enhanced for data, video and console" sticker cos its bollocks.
