ok, i fuked my bios a while back, and recently ordered an old executer chip, now i was told that i cant flash my tsop using any program such as evo-x if the mod ive got is an lpc mod, i had a theory that if i connected my executer using wires, then booted up and then while at the evo-s dash cut all the wires, then tried to flash my tsop , would this be sucsesful.please email me or post a reply asap! smile.gif

The matrix allows this using a similar technique, but noone has yet managed such a thing with an executor. I believe the matrix has something different in it which allows you to switch back to the retail bios while the chip is still active.

That won't work.

If your onboard TSOP is bad, you cannot flash it with ANY LPC mod. A homebrew or xtender or any other 29 wire mod (EDIT except enigmah) will work. Or you could just connect the Executer that you have and leave it in there, and forget about the onboard flash.

so then in theory and body with a bad xbox bios image cant reflash it?cos i thought the only reason it couldnt b flashed was because the executer was still connected, hence cutting the wires. is there any other way i can flash my bios, (keep in mind it is corrupt at the moment)

Yes, you can in-circuit program it using a TSOP test clip and programming software. This isn't a trivial task, and you need the proper hardware. Andy covers this in depth at his Xbox project site (Andy's Milksop project), but again, you'll need the hardware and some electronics know-how. Oh, and about $400 worth of parts.
