I have XBMP 2.4 and all the movies I play are at 480p. Is it possible I can play movies at a high resolution at 1080i. I can't find a link anywhere that shows info on this. If it can, what changes do i need to make?

I'd love to see it work but my first intutition is that the Xbox is not a scaler (otherwise it would output everything at 1080i/720p for us resolution hogs). This means that an image is either output at a fixed resolution in 480i or 480p but that's it. I believe others reported that playing movies in higher resolutions results in the movie filling a tiny corner of the screen. This would support the non/scaler theory. No dice.

XBMP does display in HD, don't know which resolution, however, you will see pixilation and distortion. I don't think the CPU can really handle that type of resolution. Maybe XBOX2 can.
