Hi Gang!

I have searched the forums, but to no avail so i thought i would turn to you experienced people to help me out with a query i have smile.gif

What it is i am thinking of getting a PVR card for my PC for christmas, now i know what your probobly thinking "What use is a PVR card when your monitor is on 17"?

Well i have got an Xbox- which has been modded with a Martix chip-latest BIOS and i also have Evloution X Dash on - latest version which came with Slayers Auto Install 2.5 smile.gif
(standard hard disk-hoping to get a larger one soon!)

Now i mainly use my Xbox for playing games and watching movies on using XBMP - which is GREAT! But what i would like to do is STREAM the recordings from the PVR card in my PC to my Xbox.

Now yes i could just SEND PVR recordings (MPEG format i think!) over the Xbox, but sending files via FTP takes time sad.gif Which is where streaming takes off right? or am i just being too hopeful..?

So i guess what i'm asking is Would it be better (quiker) to Stream MPEG PVR recordings from my PC to my Xbox or Would it be just as quick to simply send the files to the XBox?

Would the quality of the recording suffer? when you stream it?

And also how do you STREAM? Is there any tutorials on streaming movies?

You have various options to stream from your pc...relax and ccxstream seems to be the most used. There are tutorials at the top of this forum section if you want to give it a shot. I myself can't get either to work correctly. I can get pics to show up but not movies whatsoever.

EDIT: I'm guessing you really didn't search too hard tongue.gif

Is it not possible to use Windows Media Encoder to encode the video as it arrives from the card, then make XBMP stream from the server in wmv format?
