Guys, now it has been all but confirmed that Outrun2 will be a PS2 exclusive, and SEGA have already confirmed that Virtua Cop 3 won't be making it to the XBOX, I think its time we looked in to the possibility of Chihiro arcade emulation for the XBOX.

The Chihiro arcade board (which Outrun 2 and Virtua Copy 3 amongst others run on) is exactly the same as the insides of an XBOX, so surely if there is a way of ripping the games from their medium, we can run them somehow on xbox??

Does anyone know or can confirm if this may be possible?

chihiro board would have more ram than xbox for starters, that's enough to fluck it up.

Have you ever seen those games? I've seen two of them.. the Xbox couldn't even handle a perfect conversion, let alone emulation

I meant that Chihiro is like NIAOMI in the fact that Chihori is like an upgraded xbox, and NIAOMI and upgraded dreamcast, not that NAIOMI is archeticturially (cant be arsed to spell check that) similar to Chihori. If you get what i am saying

If Sega *PORTS* it, it will look nice, but it's not going to look as nice as the arcade. I've not given a ton of attention to them, but I've played HoTD3 and VC3... Xbox would have to cut corners.

EMULATING them is impossible. You'll have to wait until Sega ports them.

I recently was playing a Keio Flying Squadron through NeoGenesis, the Sega CD version. Hilarious stuff, wonderful early-90s dubbing over grainy video.

Yeah, the grainy video is just awful. I've recently graduated Rami-chan to other jobs other than being in my sig. She'll come back though I think.

Anyways, I like the Saturn version a lot better. I'm more of a platformer guy than a shooter, but that's me.

There's also a PSX board game which I have, and is damn hard to find. Almost impossible to play for a non-Japanese speaker. I'll put a scan up later.
