is ther a way to remove the freeze on expiration from registry or wherever it is??

smartftp i believe is free, give that a try, google for it

funny mine is expired but it counts down after 30 secs and then I can use it.

Umm... It never expires, it just makes you wait 30 seconds before you can click okay (notice the timer)

Most FTP servers for xbox are optomised for FlashFXP, so I'd stick with it.

You can also go with good old Internet Explorer to FTP to your XBOX. Just type this in the address bar ftp://(username):(password)@(XBOX IP Address) Should connect with no problem. You need to fill in your own values for what is in the parenthesis of course.

I use ws_ftp or bulletproof ftp. both are good. I know there was a good *free* one but can't find it now.

Ive been using WS_FTP Pro for a while now. One of the best ftp programs i have used IMO

Thats why I just leave a session of FlashFXP open all the time

There is a free version of WS_FTP. I think it's called WS/FTP Lite.
