I got myself a samsung firmware upgrade..Does anyone know what this will do for my drive?Oh,and is there any proggy that will do this for me.?

you probley should not install it just to install it unless somthing is wrong with the drive...

I got the firmware update too, I'm wondering it it will make my Sammy read DVD+R? Anyone tryed?

what you've gotten is probably the firmware upgrade to those 616t drives to be able to boot original pc games, not for stock samsung drives.

ya, there is no new firmware for any xbox drives, what you got from #xbins is the exact same firmware that is on your drive now....
