On my F drive I have a Videos direcory containing a directory called Movies in which I had about 30 DIVX and MPEG files taking up 20GB. The other day I uploaded another movie to it and when I rebooted my xbox the contents of the folder just vanished (even though the spoace has not been freed). I also cannot delete this folder using boXplorer or FTP so cannot get the lost space back. SO effectively I am left with an empty folder taking up over 20GB of space and no way to delete the folder or recover the files. Short of formatting the F drive again, does anybody have any suggestions on how to either recover the files or regain the lost disk space?

Nope...the folder is empty...nothing there to open.

And that is in XBMP, boXplorer and FTP. When I try and delete it in boXplorer it just doesn't do ANYTHING. When i do it in FTP it gives a insufficient permissions error (cute ftp)

What bios and how big a hard drive do you have?

I've had a similar problem. i have a 200gig hdd. i recently put gentoox on my xbox, after realizing it sucked i flashed my bios back. when i rebooted my xbox my entire g partition is gone. well not gone. in ftp its says it is 686gigs with no space free!i tried a clean format, it didnt help. so ive lost 64 gigs

had you changed your bios butters? i think that may be what caused my problems
