Alright, I'll give that a try. Plus I'll search out a font or two that might look better and update on xbox-skins.net. I already removed the blocks in the menu and I'm going to add some animation to the tentacles, or whatever you'd like to call them. And you were right, it does look better.

Just goto xbox-skin.net or allxboxskins.com and go to the UnleashX section and sort them by rating or download. You should get some nice but older ones on allxboxskins and you should get some newer results on xbox-skins.net.

GLiTcH: Where can I get your Oddworld skin? It's not up at either of the xbox skin sites.

I have updated this skin at xbox-skins.net. It includes several colors in one package now: Red, Blue, Green, Black, White and the original. A couple new graphics have also been added. I didn't get rid of the menu blocks, as it becomes very hard to read the menu items without them.

It's a 13mb download, so 56k beware.

Skinning forum has come to a halt again. Anyone wanna help me get the forum up and running again?

I'll have a new skin coming out sometime in the near future ( a week or so). I don't have too much time on my hands in the next few weeks. I put out a lot of skins last week because It was reading week here at the University I go to, and Imagine a lot of other places as well.

New skin is shaping up though, I'm just getting some 3D stuff done in blender.

I'd love to see more people start skinning again, it's fun and it's a great creative outlet.

Amazing stuff neverwill. You've become the source for unleashx skins. I'm using the original version of Cell Experiment right now and figured it would be a couple months before it got replaced, then you release Use Once and Destroy. I'm wanting to switch to it but was wondering if you could release a version that doesn't have the hard drive and song icons in the overlay.png - although that clock icon is really nice and probably the one tag most people keep on their skins. I just think it'd look way cleaner that way. Cheers.

I have updated the Use Once and Destroy file to contain 3 different overlays. One with all the icons, one with none and one with only the clock icon.

Any Skins focused on HDTV users? Like 16x9 and higher rest videos/images?? Some skins look great, others you can see the low res, not complaining just looking for more 16x9 higher res skins.....I run my xbox in 720p and 1080i

There's a program called "Particle Illusion" that you can use to make backgrounds such as this. It has an amazing amount of different particle effects in several different libraries that you can compose into video segments much like you would in an Adobe Product.

I haven't used it extensively, but you can create the 'plasma' with Particle Illusion and then take that over to Adobe After Effects to add in the "ceiling" and the "Floor" (those lines). Or you might be able to make the ceiling and floor in photoshop and import them into Particle Illusion, I'm not really sure, it's been a while since I've used this prog.

Not bad for my first skin! Nifty animated background. Fromthe kick-ass anime Naruto.

I have found a bug with this skin. It plays fine on my Xbox, but on my friend's (which is hooked up to an HDTV) the intro and loading movies hang on the first frame, but the background plays just fine. If someone can tell me how to fix this, or can reproduce the problem, I'd really appriciate it!

Hey everyone. Been more than a year since my last Skin (LOL I think). I created a brand new video skin (complete with animated intro, looping video background, and loading screen, as well as a video screensaver). It's a series of reflective blue cubes rotating in a glowing blue matrix, complete with coalescing and shattering effects for bootup and loading, respectively.

Only problem is, the skin is around 20 megs or so, and I need to know the best place to upload (the allxboxskins ftp option seems to not work, for some reason)? recommendations appreciated.
