I am currently working for myself on a Cartoon Skin. Please note that most of the graphics are ripped and are NOT made by me! But I do think it looks pretty cool

I am fiddling around with some designs, have not decided if I will use an orb or a square style for the preview screens.

Cartoon UX [SIMPLE]

Since I am pressed for time I thought I would pre-release a SIMPLE Version of the Cartoon UX Skin.

This one is just a quicky, no preview screens, no status infos what so ever. Just a clean cartoon look for your BOX and UX.

Please keep in mind that these preview screens are compressed .JPEGs so in reality the screens do look alot better!

I'm definitely looking forward to that skin as well, but just one critique: the white font on the file explorer menu is somewhat hard to read. Perhaps think about changing the brightness a bit on it?
Otherwise, great stuff!

Yeah noticed that as well, the color scheme definatly has to be changed. Hopefully I will get it sorted out by this weekend and be able to release it.

I understand that it was a pre-release, so I hope you don't think I'm knocking the work. It definitely is a good looking skin.
I really dig the font. Mind sharing what that is? I have a few cartoonish fonts, but for some reason, that one doesn't seem to be among my collection.

And nope, I don't think your knocking my work. Actually I noticed the color problem before, but I thought, heck, just release it and do it better on the "Big" one

im gonna try my hand at a decepticon one ...the angles will be cool to play with off the mask...

we should start some skin trades...
i used to do this with psd's and flas wiht my designer friends...
somone will start a skin and then hand it off and the next person modifies it then hands it off
after it goes through 5 heads it ends up pretty cool...
might be fun to try with skinning

Off topic, slightly: As I'm trying to work on my first skin, I'm becoming a bit discouraged seeing all of you pump out some pretty sick skins.
Hey, in the end, it means we'll all have loads of quality skins to suit our personalities for UnleashX, I guess, right?

Just for you Ravage.... It doesn't capture the decepticons in there mighty purple glory, but I like it so far.

im having some issues wiht the menu aside from alignment
the new feature of manu items sort of makes the top and bottom menu items jump all out of wack...its weird...ill keep playing with it.
oh and does anyone have a"transformers font wiht more characters...this one is missing a few... im using TransRobotics

Just trashed the other one, and restarted...

This one is looking much better thus far.

Thats the best resource I have found... lots of other great cartoon fonts as well.

That is a damn good questiond df... would be interested myself!

I uploaded the almost final BG of the skin over the existing one, so all previous posts with the image will show the final one. (I just need to find a way to incorporate preview images/movies...

I think I will try to make a nice little bg xmv for it using flash or something, but we'll see. I might release a simple skin tomorrow, and then another with the bg animation at a later date so as not to delay the skin.

Df, let me know if you find that font eh? (I'll do the same vice versa).

Twilight: Definitely finish it. It Looks great so far, but I'm also wondering if it's an animated background.

heres my WIP. (the white is transparent) this is my first unleashx skin, as i have made mxm skins in the past. the transparency on the loading screen is the game icon.

Those look like some great skins. Twilight and ravage, your WIP's look fantastic.

And hydraulix, I really would like to have that blue skin that you're working on. Hope you get it done soon.

Good work to all the other skinners. And how is the cartoon skin coming along... in the previous post you said simple version. is that the last version or are you still working on it

I was wondering is there a way to rotate the text? I am currently working on a skin and it would look a lot better if I could rotate the text slightly to match the 3d stuff that I am doing.
