This maybe a stupid question but as I have never opened a DVD player I will ask anyway. Is it possable to put a tray in an Xbox from a DVD player to be able to play cd-rs?

Not unless if it was a DVD player that used a PC IDE DVD-ROM drive.
It'd be easier to just get a computer IDE DVD-ROM drive. You'd have to have a modded Xbox to be able to play games on it, though.
