i have a 1.3version xbox and im getting my xbit in the mail today. i was wondering:
instead of doing the whole ftp thing, is it possible to backup the necessarry files to a memory card?

The backup of the C drive alone is -+ 120Mb. If you have a lot of savegames you can count another 120mb to that. So I don't think it is advisable to use a mem card. I'm not even sure if the mem card shows up in boXplorer.
The FTP is the easiest way to back up your hd data.

if you use slayers and dont care about all the crap on your hdd you dont even need to do unless the insatlation goes bad
