ok so i bought an xbox today, got home put the 007 save across from memcard to hard drive and ftp into the xbox, I didnt change any files on the HD all i did was add a folder on e: so everything is still original apart from this 1 extra folder, anyway i turned it off and back on and the led comes on green for a sec and then starts flashing red and i get no picture on the screen.

I'm getting an xecuter 2.3 delivered in the next day or two, will adding this fix my problem or is the xbox dead?

EDIT: As the only thing i did was put a new folder on e: i guess this problem has something to do with the HD and have noticed on ebay that you can get an unlocked replacement HD, if just putting a mod chip in doesnt resolve this, would putting one of these replacement HDs in (once the mod chips in) get it all working again.

Can someone please help?

well addin gone folder on teh HD wouldnt cause that, and it doesnt sound like an HD problem

does it try to reboot twice then flash red and green? thats a bios issue, are you sure all you did was add the folder ont eh HD? nothing else?

a modchip may or may not fix it, youll justhave to try it and find out

yeah i didnt think adding a folder would cause it but i did nothing else, all the light does is as you press the power or eject button it comes on green then instantly starts flashing red.

Four weeks with the same problem.

I was playing to enter the matrix, when the dvd gave an error reading dvd....then i power off and reboot my xbox.

when boot my xbox i have a green led for one second and red led flashing.....and flashing all the time.

Nobody tech of here knows nothing of this problem.

I had my xbox one month. and x 2.2 pro chip.

My conclusion.:

- My xbox have a factory problem.
- My x2.2 pro had fucked the xbox.

I see too many problem with the x-ecuter chips. see other forums.

Installing the chip with new BIOS gives you a good chance of fixing this problem. Good Luck
