Today I updated Xbox Live, everything went fine no problems , I turned on the
mod chip and expexted Evo X to start right up , all it does is start the orginal M$ dash.Yet it will still play my backed up games . Has any one else had this problem ?

Boot your EvolutionX CD and rename the XBEs.
Your default loading XBE should be EvolutionX.
Since you probably have an old modchip, follow this:
Rename the current xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe
Then, FTP over EvolutionX as xboxdash.xbe
