I had my xbox modded by someone else... and never bothered asking wut he put it in it.
now im wondering... wuts in it?
after i find out ill post wut i have.. and c if i need to upgrade it...
here's my question:
how do i find out wut mod chip i have
what version xbox ...
and wut version evox
info i have:
when xbox loads it says xecuter2 or something...
and under evox it says : remotex v1 8.2812

for chip go to evox sys utils>flash bios>selcect any bios.. see wat it says like it says chip id post that DONT FLASH UR BIOS
do some research 2 get ur xbox version xbox-linux.sf.net
ummm there is a proggy on xbins tat says wat bios u have when did u get tis installed

your evox v1 8.2812 is out of date, evox dash is up to 1.8.3921....as for what modchip? ask the person who modded it what he put in or maybe open the xbox and take a look with your own eyes...maybe u dont even have a chip u have a flashed tsop

the easiest thing to do would be to ask the person who modded it 
if it was a friend, unless you payed someone else. They have tuts to find out your xbox version, and I suppose you could see the mod chip by looking at pictures
