I am trying iMurderer's instuctions for installing xecuter with pin headers. I am having diffuculty getting the power cable off the motherboard. Is there a trick to this? It seems that if I bend back the plastic fastener holding it in it will break.

No really. Just pull hard. Make sure the screws of the Mobo are still fastened and then just pull the plug.

Insert a small flat headed screwdriver down the side that's clipped in and gently prise it away at one end - then start to pull the connector at that end - the rest should start to come away.
