(just out of interest) on how you can add caller-id (from your phone) to the display of a TiVO box.
This is a nice little extra i've been hoping would arrive on the XMBP at some point.
The article mentioned some software (open source) which it uses and it seems to do the job perfectly well for Windows desktops.

Could somebody look in to adding support as a "listener" to XBMP/XBMC in the near future? From what i read, writing a 'listener' is not difficult at all.
The protocol can also be used to send short messages to listening devices, so you could write a script on your pc streaming server to broadcast a message when a download is completed, or you have new email, or the tvguide xml has been updated etc. etc. Lots of potential in it i think!
