i dont like it at all.

Grey and white are old news, the buttons are too small, it's too wide, no extra features or buttons you would expect from a next generation console controller. So yeah, without those, it's fine.

offtopic: i wish some one would make controller with the 4 buttons accesable with the middle and ring fingers so you can use the sticks and the 4 buttons at the same time w/o pulling your index finger up and fumblinga round with the buttons

It looks mega fake. It doesnt even look real it looks PS7'd.

Look at it for a second its a base ps2 controller photoshopped with the fps controller using two recolored c sticks from gamecube 4 photoshopped buttons and d-pad and a recollor. Look at it for a little, youll see im right.

I think xbox next should just keep the desing of the s controller. Of course it would need a little alteration to ad in certain new features but I hope it feels about the same cuz I love the s controller

I really don't see MS changing the design of their control. Sony was wise not to change theirs. It's best not to mess with an already good thing.

the controller S i cant stand, ive had an xbox sence 2001 when it came out, i still cant use a controller S, i olny still use the regular controllers

that actually looks somewhat like the controller that was originally supposed to be used for the xbox. it was a slightly altered ms wingman

Same, controller Si (get it like cacti...oh forget it) suck. I notice i play halo significantly worse with a controller s and most other games too.

Hey that controller does look fake. They should make a new controller maybe keep the same design or somethng i like the S controller its fine with me.

i hate the layout of the buttons of the S controller, but don't mind it's puny size
i love my big ass controller, fits hands perfect
when i try to play with an s controller and i try to hit the b button i end up hitting the y button
and the black and white buttons are just dumb on the S controller

the controller is definately a fake because xbox next will not have the xbox green color anymore. the xbox green comes from m$ being partners with nvidia and the green is nvidia's trademark color. ati will power xbox next so you should expect black and red or white and red when it finally releases

Someone mentioned that they have this now. I ordered this about 3 weeks ago
and haven't put it down since. It is far superior to any other controller out there
(for FPS games anyway). It makes such a difference in Halo and CS.

The colors could be better but hey. . .

Next time you want to open your mouth.. think before you talk instead of offering your best guess as fact.

The MS design team.. their head concept designer.. had a habit of writing with a green sharpie. Alot of early concept drawing were done using the green.. and black sharpies. People around him started to notice the color scheme he was subconciously using.. and determined it was right for the xbox. Many (most?) of those designs were submitted and discussed long before NVidea was a finalized partner.

A Tour that Ballmer had given people who won a contest from XBOX MAg.. as well as some other people who won a contest from TechTv.. got to meet the designer who had that habit of using the green and black Sharpies to flesh out ideas.

As for the RED and White.. I'm Canadian.. so I'd love to see it Red and White.. but I'll give you ops in our channel if in 2005/6 we see production model in the Red and white scheme.

i'd have to agree with hsdemonz here, i remember seeing the videos about the concept designes and such and the guy that created the controller and everything else. he did draw with green all the time although i don't remember it being a sharpie. they later in the video went on to say that this eventually became an xbox color
there is even green in the black of the controller if you have ever drilled through it you'd definately notice
