Right, So I buy AR and Mechassult. Put the Mechassult savegame exploit on AR upload it to the xbox via memorystick. I delete All the saves for MA on the xbox machine except for "Run Linux". Now the problem comes when loading! Once I click "run linux" in the MA game, my box reboots and 1 second later flashes to ERROR 21
(xbox needs repair). Can anyone help me out??

What version of MA? Original? GOTY? Platinum Hits? Only the old original version works. Newer versions are patched.

Well, I got the game bundled with my new xbox and 2 othergames. My xbox is version 1.1 . The game has the live logo across it with the mech on the bottom and a helicopter flying above it and is copyrighted 2002 micosoft corporation and 1999-2001 by dollby labs. Also it has "Game of the year" logo on the jew case. Would this hopefully be the original?
have u gone into a normal level first i was getting error 21 but now it still isnt loading but the screen is just flashing constantly like it is trying to do something but cant ?? any help?

Your problem is the AR card... It's crap.
Use the AR Dock with a normal MS mem card and you wont have any issues.
Just so you know, this has proved to be the solution in dozens of cases.

Hopefully Morden's solution (which is very true!) will help you out.
However, I've heard that the Game of the Year ("GOTY") editions are patched against the exploit. For your sake, I hope that's not the case.
not using a ar and it isnt the goty version
it isnt a microshaft on but that shouldnt make any difference should it

Most non MS mem cards are crap. Bad sectors and such.

Are there any identifying marks on the game itself? I don't have the original case and am suffering the same problem. I can't exploit.. have tried mechassaultw/evox, mordens, and catfish. No love on any counts!
