Can you use the xbox to watch regular dvd that are recorded in High definition in a modded xbox that has the hd pack? it would be wicked if someone could figure out how to use the xbox as a HD converter for air stations.

I have downloaded HD recordings of TV shows, but they were converted to Xvid. Looked damned good too. However the Xbox does not have enough horsepower to do full scale HD (mpeg2) decoding - that requires a 2.6GHz or better CPU using a PC.
