I am confused about the different chameleon versions. is this correct?
1.) the chameleon 1.3 supports all xbox versions (1.0 - 1.5) but must be flashed via the external programmer.
2.) the chameleon LE supports also all xbox versions and it's possible to flash the chip via a boot cd.
3) only the Evox M7 and the X2 4979.06 bios support the xbox versions 1.4 and 1.5
I have made three pin header installation on 1.1 motherboards and now I have a 1.4 motherboard. So, is it possible to install a chameleon 1.3 on this board. Are there 'new' points to solder?

hi,
i think the D0 point differs, with that -1.4- board. The rest is still the same -the 1.4 board has 6 resistors where the eject switch must be solderd to, thats how u can check, what d0 point to take.
Its in the chameleon quick solder manual, look for the one with the 6 smd resistors, and than find the corrosponding d0 point.
The rest is still the same, just different locations the pin header stays on all the same.

O.K. that's clear that the D0 is diffrent. I thought that I must do something with the LPC points because there are the differences between the 1.4 and 1.5 mobos to the older ones.
So, the only difference between the chameleon 1.3 and LE is that they are flashed with different versions of the cromwell bios and all tutorials are still guilty for every xbox version??!!

The D0 is the same as the 1.3 box.
The only MOBO change is with the 1.5 box. There is an additional solder point that must be made.

ok. I found the diagram for the additional solder point, but there are two wires!!??
My WebpageIf I use a chameleon LE with pin header installation in a 1.5 MOBO is it still necessary to solder these new wires?
And whats with 1.4 MOBOs and chameleon 1.3 and LE?

difference chameleon 1.3 / chameleon LE:
all new chameleon 1.3 are not licenced by xodus, cause easybuy is no longer a partner of xodus. (this does not stop the chip from working)
they might be shipped with an old cromwell version that does not support the focus chip in the v1.4/v1.5 xbox.
reflashing the bios solves this problem.
conclusion
you can use a v1.3 chameleon in all currently available xbox versions, but you might have to flash the chameleon in an v1.0-1.3 xbox or with an external programmer before using it.
