OK, on Halo all of the weapons are timed, for ex. on damnation the rocket will come back every 2 minutes and camo and OS will come back every minute. All of the people on XBC have special timer to where they can get all of the powerups right when they comeback because of there timers.

So now I want to take advantage of my modded xbox, does anyone know of some program where it could just show some kind of timer on your screen when you are playing system link? Or could someone help me make one? would it work or would it be like halo hack and not work online? any help would be apreciated. thanks

SilentKilla
Anyone?
SHiZNO
even if you modified the game like that, everyone would needto have the same mod, thats why people cant play with trainers...

you could write it up for PC tho and make it send signals as 'beeps' (so you dont have to look at the monitor while playing)
SilentKilla
O well i was thinkin since itd just be for u u could use it, kinda like glass walls, IDK if yall know what that is, and also how u can make it say whatever u want when u get a double kill.

Thread moved to game hacking.

They don't have a TIMER that changes anything.

They record a count down until the weapons respawn. You use a simple tape recorder like i've seen most people do.
SilentKilla
Im not saying for it change the weapon spawns, Im saying just a clock at the like top right of the scren that cousnts from 0 when the game start and keeps counting up, so when i look and it says 1:55 i will know rocket will be back in 5 seconds.
Grendal
That is cheap as hell. Don't take advantage of having a modded box online. mad.gif If you want a timer, use a stopwatch.
SilentKilla
Why not? If other people use timers that talk to them how come people with modded boxs cant have one on there screen? Anyone willing to help please PM me. THANKS!!!
slidellsimba2
this would require alot of code

if you grab the cloak you need the timer to know you did and start timing... and what if your opponent beats you there? well then your timer needs to know they did grab it... nice idea but the only way i think it would work is if it just counted up from zero as soon as the match started, and i doubt anyone that does these hacks will make it since most of the dont release alot of hacks because of online cheaters, for example glasshouse
Bejiba
No, the timer is consistent and is always running. Things go on a schedule and always appear there, that's how sometimes you can pick up two weapons right away. I'm thinking if you could get something like the timer for king of the hill to always count on your screen for any game it would work.
ADIOS
It does need to be extravagent, something that just counts up from 0 the whole match, thats all.

Why don't you just stick a clock on top of your xbox . . . and when the game starts you can hit "start" or whatever on it.

Just a thought wink.gif jester.gif jester.gif wink.gif

X STFU. Shit, you know u would want that to.

Maybe... you could get it to make a little timer you could see when you held the back button, that would be the easiest. Search for a unicode string that says something that comes up when you hold back...

I would check the UI.map file, a MP level cache file, and finally, take a peek into the XBE.
Corspegrinder99
yeah everyone has to have the same thing you have. like if you made or modified a map everyone would have to have the same map on their xbox HDD. it is the same with this
SilentKilla
I have no idea how to approach this, is there some kind of tut? and also why would they need it? it would just be for me, kinda like how u can change what it says when u betray comeone and such.... and the glass walls, are u positive this would need the other xbox to have it also? o ya and the back idea is awesome

textures, text changes can be used without getting out of sync...
Voletix
Yea, I already knew that text etc doesn't make xboxs out of sync. So I don't understand why this can't be done? I mean look at the Halo 1 trainer. It has an in-game on screen menu. Thats all we would need. Just change where it appears on screen, either top right or bottom right, and then change the menu to a couter instead of the menu for the trainer. Make the couter pretty small, and it could start as soon as the user click both of the analog sticks. You could just use the interface below and make the code so if it "happens" to ever get to 99:99 then it resets to 00:00...or the code could just be that every time the user clicks both the analog sticks, it turns off, click them again, it is back on counting from zero. I don't know much about coding this kind of stuff, but it seems easier than the time someone would spend making it.

The trainers change globals that are already in the game... Item respawns aren't in the globals...

This is all you need right here.

a lot of the timing elites dont use stop watches or anything. they learn this stuff, and its not that hard to do.

what i do is as soon as the game starts, i start tapping my foot every second (im a tuba player, i know how to keep a beat biggrin.gif ), and then when i pick up a weapon, i say "this weapon will respawn in X seconds".

soon, it will all be mental, you wont even need to tap your foot.

(also, i technical explination is that the timer would have to somehow be running something off the map that has an internal timer. you would have to add something {or hack something that has to do with the oddball timers} in order to insert this into the game. so when the xbox detects something is different, you get a sync error. only textures and text changes can be run without the rest of the party having it.)
