if you use xlink, there is a built in app that works using the pc headset, its called voicestream. its nice for games that dont have voice capabilities, not just halo, but even midtown madness 3 and a few others. only problem is that you need to be near your pc to use it, if not, you would need a wireless headset for the pc, like the one from logitech (about 15 usd).

Halo sign language! thats funny. One time my team mate was trying to get my attention by running in a circle and shooting. Just how many "words" can there be? You can only crouch, look up and down, jump, and shoot. I don't think it's possible. Someone should prove me wrong.

well ive never played on xbc or anything so i dont know about the chat room thing.

but you could have like crouch once if your talking to player 1,crouch twice for player 2 or somin if there were loads of people around you, then shoot 3 times for follow me or jump twice for protect the base lol. it would be quite funny. the other team would probably have allready sneaked in and taken the flag by then tho, but it would still be funny

hopefully halo2 will have voice in syslink and will pull everyone off of playing halo

I wouldnt know what to do if i couldnt talk to other team members...rainbow six 3 is great for that...

Generally after playing a game or two I can tell what my teammate's basic strategy is... If i need to get their attention just shoot them once with the assult rifle

Humping, I have codes for people I know, like 3 humps, and the great drop kick tells them diffrent things, duck, shoot, cover, etc... Or the good old yell in there ear works also

here's some signs u can use to communicate to ur teammates (and enemies as well):

hump (squat multiple times on an enemy) = "i own this guy, and therefor have the right to squat on his dead corpse."

whack (melee a dead corpse) = "i own this guy, and therefore have the right to whack his dead corpse."

reloading (press reload button) = "i'm reloading my weapon right now, feel free to shoot the enemy in front of us"

stray bullet (kill your teammate's dying prey) = "i am a kill-stealer. i like to get kills in a dishonorable fashion."

chicken flap (jump up while tapping the squat button) = "i suck so i'm gonna do this idiotic move."

friendly fire (shoot your own teammate) = multiple shots: "i suck and i can't kill the enemy, so i'll kill you instead." single shot: "hey dude, i need your attention. but i wuznt trying to KILL you, hence the single shot. don't be angry."

question mark (draw a question mark on the wall with your gun) = "where is the love? people runnin people dying, people hurt and people cryin. father father father help us. need some guidance from above."

the passive stance (enemies don't shoot back at you when you shoot them, instead try to get the ghost into trees or up the walls) = "hey, this room is for tricks only, u bastard"

that's all i can think of right now. not sure if this can help with team stratemagizing or anything.

hehe to do morse code just shoot your gun in morse code. bang babangbang babang babang = cq = anyone there, lol
