Actually....he totally ripped your average "comic book guy".


He said something like this:

"The people who keep these Star Wars and Lord of the Rings movies coming out live sad and pathetic lives."

(I don't have the quote exactly right but he was referring to the fans, not the creators.)



Personally, I thought the comment was hilarious and I wish I knew the exact quote so I could use it myself.

I've never seen the Star Wars movies but I think the LOTR movies are pretty good (a little complex at times...but not as complex as the Matrix). We all probably know someone who is similar to the "comic book guy" from the Simpsons and these are the people who have sad and pathetic lives. That's why I thought the comment was funny and I totally agreed.

But heh....I'm not judging anyone.

He is just mad about the time he got turned down by the midget hooker and the hobbits keep bringing back those painful memories.

I missed it today, but i have only seen 2 Star wars movie and thought they sucked. I saw LOTR number 2 and loved the directing (really good shots), but i think its stupid for Bob Ryan to amke fun of anyone hes a wrinkly old man who couldnt pop a boner if he wanted to and no one wants to see him on TV anyway Max only lets him on the show when one of the normal guest cant make it.

Summary: Bob Ryan might as well be the comic book guy from the simpsons because no one gives a crap about him (not even Jesus).

starwars ep1&2 suck, watch "a new hope" commonly misnamed as "starwars" as well as empire strikes back and redturn of the jedi

I live a sad and pathetic life and ... No wait, I went to see thouse films

But it's to widely sweeping of a statement to be relivant, many people I know lead upstanding sucessfull existances and like thouse movies. There not normaly the guys that dress in a hobbit costume to goto the theator.

I have to agree with the comment to a certain degree. The people who go to the theater dressed up as a character from the movies are asking to be beaten.


BTW I love Star Wars and LOTR.

When it comes down to it, there's nothing wrong with liking these movies.

But like I said...just imagine the comic book guy from the Simpsons. Those are the sad and pathetic people.
