frags are usually caused by the lpc ports, clean them
also check if your modchip is aligned

Never used a 2.3 lite +, but on a 2.2 lite + the green light on the chip is supposed to go off when the chip is enabled.
As far a the frags, those suckers can be pretty hard to get llined up.
Also I have heard that it is important to make sure you have a good ground with those 2.3's. Check the tut on installing there's a section on grounding the chip.

Well, I've installed 3 X2.3+ chips this week... I had some problems with one of them... they sent me a bad USB board. Couldn't get BLUE lights on. (Had to splice and solder power straight to Controller port wires to avod waiting

)
If it reboots 3 times then FRAGs you need to get your D0 aligned. (green light may still come on, tho). I had to also use my dremel to elongate the screw hole (TOWARDS THE CHIP) to get one installed. I could plainly see that the D0 spiked pin was too far FORWARD. This completely fixed the problem! This was a version 1.1 . Also may sure of the obvious... is your switch set for the correct version?
