The input system has just been re-written completely on MXM. The result is much better handling of the IR remote, gamepad and keyboard inputs. The next release will feature this, as well as the ability to completely remap the keys, if you like.

Well, I hope to get a new release out over the Christmas break - expect it around the New Year.
Perhaps some of the "WIP" testers could relate their experience with how responsive the new system is... I'm very pleased so far, though I may add a bit of tweaking to the Remote Stuff yet, if possible.
As far as gamepad action goes, it works very quickly, and the "key repeat" feature is fully programmable.
Also, you potentially have a ton of functionality with the remote (and bamepad, too), by defining "shift keys" - Shift/Ctrl/Alt combinations. Of course, you can't hold down two buttons at once, but you can do the "shift" keys in sequence then the "shifted" key to get the function.

Sure you have new batteries in the thing?
I ask as there is no problem running my MXM dash form my Xbox remote or my Mosaic (all in one).
Are you saying it takes along time for it to do anything?

new remote issue in some homebrew apps: when you press a button, its like you hold it pressed so unable to make a choice in menu excep if you are fast and lucky

... A lot of apps have problems with this... mxm, unleashx, xsnes9x...xbmp 2.4( but now fixed in CVS release), works fine in Evox too. I also use a universal remote, and have the same prob... so it comes from the dongle..
