Dear all,
I recently transferred some .mpg files from a Sony IP7E camera via memory stick onto my PC hard drive. The .mpg files play fine on the PC, but XBMP 2.4 plays then upside down !! The files are served to the xbox via ReLaX.
Anyone got any ideas ?

erm........ Try turning your TV the right way up......... Boom Boom!
Sorry, couldn't help myself there... can you blame me?
Seriously though.... maybe XBMP does not handle the codec properly, does the camera allow you to use any others? or how about taking a short clip (for the sake of speed) and converting it to another format using TMPGenc (or similar)......... reason for this, to see if it is still upside down, and thus to find out if my theory is right or wrong (about not handling the codec properly)
Good luck.
PS. Also try XBMP 2.3 and XBMC, just incase it solves the problem.

To Find TMPGenc, do a search for it on www.altavista.com
You can try that theory...or i think you can always just flip the image...or you can even compress the file and try it then, it migth be that the file is too large and causing problems

Sounds like the file is in svcd format or similar. What application are you using to play the file on your PC? Try playing it in the standard Windows Media Player and I'll bet it plays upside down also.

This same thing has happened to me. Playing some of my cannon S230 vids they were playing upside down. when I rebooted it was fixed and I can't reproduce it. Go figure.
One other problem I'm having is when viewing pictures and I rotate the picture it just doesn't rotate the pic it mirrors it. Anyone see this problem?

I have this problem also. And in the latest build when I zoom it stretches the image also. They're just bugs which haven't been fixed is all. I'm hoping one final release of XBMP comes out before it's completley overtaken by XBMC which addresses the bugs.
