Hiya..
Can we start a list here of all the games which can be backed up onto a 700mb CDRW?
List them here and I will add it to this post.

d00d, its called cd rips

You can get most games down to 700mb or less, just look at the rips available.

I've not got my xbox hdd upgraded yet, so I ripped all the single player content out of Halo and installed a 290Mb version for multiplayer only on me hard-drive. Handy for LANage.

Most of my CDR size backups are not RAPED rips... Originals that were small enough to fit CDR.

Its funny how ConFusioN made a Dvd Rip of Ghost Recon when the game already fits on a CDRW. lol

I have a million dollar question:

Why is it when I burn a 300 meg game (nightcaster for example) on a cdrw it works on my xbox (although a bit slower) but when I burn it on a cd-r, the thing wont even get recognized whatsoever.

Weird eh? tried 3 different brands of cd-r too.... cdrw works (slow) but cd-r dont...

Can anyone inlighted me on this???

Most X-box's wont read CD-R unless you add a second DVD drive like I did.

(Amost every) Original Xbox drives will not recognize any CDR media.

ecept the samsung.i saw 5 boxes and all loaded cd-r.....let's say slow but they worked

HSDEMONZ has a nice CD/DVD burning tutorial that lists the steps you need to take to burn to CD-R. It's possible, but you have to use a different process. Although I burn all my games to DVD-R anyway, I'm going to give it a try sometime...just because.

I am after games that have an iso size of less that 700mb with NOTHING RIPPED
NO DOWNSAMPLING of movies or audio
NO RIPPING AND RELINKING of movies, models or music....
