Ok so im not a newbie, ive installed several modchips and done several software hacks using fonts ...
I just did another soft mod and all appears to be fine at first .. Live Dashboard starts and then the screen flashes like it should, as if it were about the load the Pheonix but then the screen goes black and the LED on the front of the xbox flashes green orange and red. After doing another hot swap and renaming the fonts back to their original names, the xbox will boot like normal into the Live Dashboard but even after several tries with the font exploit i seem to have this same problem.

it is an early version of xbox, if that helps anyone.. probly 1.0 or 1.1 ..

the only thing i could think of is that this is a heavily used xbox with TONS of data on it from savegames and what not... im not sure if any of this has any bearing on the exploits.

make sure the boot.cfg file set the led as LEDSequence gggg

I am having the exact problem... anyone know how to fix it? the screen is just black and the front leds are just scrolling through the colors. I have the bert is cheating on ernie fonts in the fonts folder and the root folder. I have the pbl default.xbe and all the pbl folders and stuff. I Have evoxdash.xbe, skin dir, and evox.ini in root.

I think I know what I did wrong... I forgot my bfm bios.... Now if the damn hotswap trick would work again... last 5 attempts didnt work

okay uploaded the bios file still doing the red-orange-green thing

are the av cables pluged in?

.... yes...

make sure everything is signed properly, use the latest x2 bios, pbl 1.3.5i signed from xbins, and reloaded fonts, which i know for a fact work.

also try bypassing pbl and going straight to the dash.

ps both of you should post what you are using (fonts, pbl, bios, dash, kernal and msdash vers)


edit: make sure you have ALL the jpgs/raws and files for pbl

Well i use using the bert cheating on ernie fonts and just on a hunch, i replaced them with the reloaded fonts, and voila .. pheonix started ... so maybe thats a start for some of you who had a similar problem.

anyway, if the redflashing while loading bothers you pedros pad found a little hack for the reloaded fonts to fix it let me dig it up for...
