I just bought a router and am trying to hook up to Xbconnect, but my CPU is having a hard timeconnecting to the router. Does anyone know how to connect? Thanks

If I remember correctly you must forward some ports.

ummm can you ping the router's ip from your computer?

if not have you setup the default gateway of your computer with the routers ip?

I'm assuming you got a router to do nat and share internet and aren't configuring seperate subnets .. first thing you need to do is check the ip settings of the router/computer/and xbox .. they all need to be on the same subnet .. like 192.168.1.0
Find out if your router supports dhcp, if it does then change ur xbox settings and your computer's settings to dhcp (unless you must use static on your computer).. You'd only need to forward ports if you were trying to connect the cpu to the xbox from different networks (like the internet), which is doesn't sound like what you're doing .. well hope this helps

Xbconnect has forums and a couple of pages that explain which ports to forward. Check those out.
