Hi, yes i am a n00b so dont get at me, so here goes

Im trying to install XBMP on to the xbox with the EvoX dashboard and i followed many guides but nothing seems to be helping. And considering im new to this im probably doing something very stupid and obvious!

This is what i have done:

Created a new folder in C: (c:/xbmp) and uploaded all the files contained in the .rar folder cpx-bmxp24.

Then created another folder in E: (e:/apps/xbmp) where i placed the default.xbe file.

In the guide '10 steps to setting up XBMP and Relax' i presume steps 4,5 and 6 in 00.Installation this is what i have supposed to have done from what i can make out blink.gif it then says reboot and test your installation but when i do that and go to launch menu>apps> there is nothing there!!

So what is going wrong!? Im probably doing something very studpid and ur all to busy rolling about the floor right now laughing to reply to my post rotfl.gif

But someone please point me in the right direction like baby steps to install! Thanks!

You can't just put all the files in ONE folder and put the XBE in another folder! They need to be in the same folder. Put them all in E:\Apps\XBMP\ and you're fine.

Can someone just please help!

dunno what you did but your default.xbe has a size of 0 ohmy.gif
you can't run a file if the file doesn't contain anything...

try deleting it and renaming default.bak to default.xbe.
