If i unplug my network cable i get the codes W:0000-0000 X:8000-0011 Y:0000-0000 Z:0000-0000
When I input a wrong IP address I get W:0000-000B X:8001-0405 Y:0000-0000 Z:0000-0000
When I input a wrong DNS i get W:0000-000B X:0000-F009 Y:008C-0060 Z:0000-274C
Again if i set everything right, it connects and wants to download an update which fails, so i cannot get my xyz codes
Can anyone help me? Am i banned?

Do you have Auto Sign-In enabled? I don't think Music Mixer downloads anything automatically, unless you have Auto Sign-In enabled.

regarding my previous post...
i don't know much about this live stuff (obviously). i have never been on live and i never plan on do so. for my use, i don't care if i'm going to be banned or not. however, if i ever restore my box back to original and sell, i'd like to know if i'm going to be screwing the person i sell it to.
perhaps, the dashupdate proceedure makes no attempt to flag the box, so i don't have anything to worry about?

I believe I was a touch too eager to play Crimson Skies and Prince of Persia with my mod-chip on. And seeing as "Auto-Sign In" was enabled, I am thinking my box got banned. I did just recently do an upgrade of EVOX to 3921, but I doubt this would lead to me getting the "Modified Xbox Error" message when you boot to the regular MS Dash and it tries to sign in. All the connections are good (Cables Connected...Check; IP Address...Check; DNS Resolved....Checked, step 4 halts! with the "Modified Xbox Error"). I looked into this thread and found out my XYZ stuff, so I will post!

To eliminate the router as a cause of my problems, I connected the Xbox directly to my cable modem, reseted my modem and tried again - "Xbox Live! not found" -

Hey guys,
I've got a modded xbox v1.3, x2.3 pro with x2 4980 BIOS, and an 80 gig Seagate HD. When trying to sign onto Live with the 80 gig HD, I get an "Xbox Live not found" error, and my Y code is 00C2-0060 (full connection to router, and then to the internet).
When I swap the 80 gig out and reinstall the original 10 gig HD, I can sign onto Live without any problem. I noticed that when I unplug the connection from the router to the internet and try again with the 80 gig HD installed ,the Y code changes to 00C3-0060.
When the original HD is installed the Y code is 00A8-4860.
I've read somewhere on this thread that this may be related to how ConfigMagic Final locked my drive? Perhaps I'll reformat and use the "long" method of preparing a new HDD and locking it...
Has anyone else encountered this? If so, did you have any luck??

I think that I might have some info for those with the first 4 of the Y code: 00c2. As you can see from my sig, I have a 120GB HDD. This was my first time trying to connect to live w/ this box w/ the new HDD. I called xbox customer support and I read them my XYZ codes and everything- They were:
W 0000 000B
X 0000 F001
Y 00C2 01A4
Z AFFF 0018
The rep told me that this problem is common with some old xboxes. He said how when xblive first came out that a bunch of people had the same problems as me. He said MS would repair it for free - yeah right, i have a modded box.
I know that lots of people have been posting that they have the 00C2 and that they have an upgraded HDD, so it could be that, but if M$ offered to repair it for free, that means that people w/o a modded box probably have had the 0062 Y code. I don't know what to do about live, b/c I don't think that I need a new EEPROM, but who knows...

Its kinda weird though because MS said that maybe it was my modem and to try out my xbox on someone else's high speed connection, but a friend of mine upgraded his stock hard drive to the same(maxtor 250 gb) just today and he tried his xbox on my high speed and he got connected with no problem. It seems that I can't connect because I switched hd twice.

Hey guys,
Here's an update on my situation. Once again, it's a v1.3 xbox with an x2.3b pro installed, and I upgraded the HD to an 80 gig 7200rpm Seagate.
Anyway, when I used Slayer's Evo-X to prepare the new HD and install the various apps (and then used ConfigMagic Final, which I installed myself), I couldn't play on Live - well, I couldn't connect, kept getting an "Xbox Live not found" error, even though the chip was turned off and all the cables were plugged in - the Y code was 00C2-0060.
I reformatted the 80 gig drive and used the "long" method of preparing the HD, using a PC and LiveInfo, hdlock/hdunlock, and Norton Ghost to clone the Xbox HD to the 80 gig HD. Now I can play on Live no problem! the Y code (when router is disconnected from internet) is now 008C-0060.
Hope this helps some of you guys out there.
Here's a link to the tutorial I used:
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?act...T&f=41&t=105803(Note, in this one it says *not* to use hdprepar - I however *did* use hdprepar to zero the first 4096 sectors of my 80gig drive).

Perhaps someone can help me out here. I have an xbox that can't access xbox live. The progressions through the networking steps are all successful from IP address to DNS. The final step fails with "Xbox Live Not Found". These are my codes
1.00.5659.03
W: 0000 - 000B
X: 0000 - 000D
Y: 00C2 - 0002
Z: 0000 - 0000
UL: 0Kb DL: 0Kb
L: 0 ms (0ms) P: 0/0
From what I've read, the Y: line with 00C2 denotes a eeprom error of some sort. The only thing I can think of that I did with the eeprom was run the Config Magic Final and selected "Update XBOX EEPROM". I am wondering if this caused my problem. Can anyone offer any insight to this?
Thanks in advance.

I apologize for posting without reading all the threads first. It seems the 00C2 error is popular and config magic final committed this atrosity that keeps me from entering xbox live. Funny thing is I ran the exact config magic method on my xbox as I did my friends xbox. Well, my box is just fine. His box is the one that can't access xbox live.
Long story short, and not sure if this is legal or not, but here goes: how do I purchase a new eeprom? 2ndly, it would seem an easy fix by just grabbing the eeprom.bin file from my backup folder or something and using that restore the correct information or by building an eeprom through the config magic menu options. Has anyone tried using config magic to build an eeprom? and if so did it work?

Okay here is some additional information on the 00C2 Y code:
When I modded my buddies xbox I used a ghost image of my 120gb Xbox harddisk and slapped the ghosted harddisk into his xbox. I think this is where the eeprom.bin information became corrupted for his system because from what I understand each system must have a unique eeprom.bin. His system doesn't list a S/N # when a accessing the WXYZ information. I tried backing up his xbox but the newly produced eeprom.bin file couldn't save the day after placing it in the config magic final /data folder and updating with this eeprom.bin file. I was hoping that it would work, but no cigar.
At this point I am going to restore his system with the original harddisk and try this tutorial:
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?act...T&f=41&t=105803Hopefully this will resolve the issue. If anyone has any other ideas, please let a brother know.
ps. I always thought that if he tried accessing Live with a duplicate eeprom.bin he would get banned. The codes on his system does not reflect a ban. See below for the code on my box and the code on his box. They are just shy of being identical. I wish someone could explain in futher detail to me how this could come about and why I can't alter it by just doing a new backup of his system and using the eeprom.bin file generated by his system to fix this problem.
My Codes:

Okay, I have here additional useful information. My buddies box that "can not find xbox live" is now Live again. I swapped his 120gb harddisk with his xbox original and disabled the modchip. The system booted up fine, went to Live's site and made all of the appropriate downloads.
This is utterly confusing as the WXZ data did not change (see previous post above). The only thing that changed was Y: 0088 1C00. It is EXACTLY the eeprom of MY box.
So in a nutshell this is what happened:
ghost my hard drive to his new 120gb drive
run config magic and lock his drive and run update eeprom (don't know if update really did anything)
notice we both have the same eeprom data
try going online with his box and get the "cant find live" error
notice his eeprom has the Y:00C2 code
swap his upgrade drive with xbox original
access xbox live without a problem
check the eeprom data and it is still exactly like mine except this drive gains access to Live
looking for a new eeprom.bin file because one of us is bound to get banned using same eeprom data
Is this useful to anyone?

I just hooked up my old 8gig hd, and I still was not able to connect to xb live. This time I check the codes and I got:
W 0000-0015
X 0000-F001
Y 008A-0FE0
Z AFFF-0018
Could this be my ethernet port on my xbox. I noticed when I ftp that sometimes it freezes and am not able to download completely. When I had my 250gb hd in the codes were:
W 0000-0015
X 0000-F001
Y 00C2-03E0
Z 0000-0000

Man all this time I thought my buddies xbox had the same eeprom as my xbox because i ghosted my hard drive to his new hard drive! It seems that you too have the same WXYZ codes LOL!
I guess the WXYZ codes are not unique to a box. The Serial # must be what is unique to the box. Anyone agree with this?

Umm, fuzzy, this is absolutely not true.
I had the 00C2 code and got the "XBox Live not found" error, however when I prepared my HD using the "long" version of locking (involving using a PC and Norton Ghost to clone the original xbox drive, then using LiveInfo and atalock to lock the HD), the 00C2 code went away, and I have been playing on Live happily ever since (for about 2 weeks now).
All these people that have purchased new EEPROMs probably didn't need to. There's another post somewhere in this thread that mentions using the PAL<->NTSC video mode switcher may also alleviate the 00C2 problem.

I haven't seen a W with 000D in this thread, so I figured I'd show it.
My apartment complex has a LAN that I get to the internet through and my evox settings say "Line Status - 10/Full Duplex"
Oh, yeah I'm in South Carolina, USA
edit: more info
I have a V1.0 box with a 120GB Maxtor and a Executer 2.2Lite

I got banned and changed Eeprom. I do not get the banned due to modified hardware message anymore. Can't seem to get past the fourth live check. Message I'm getting now is communication error. When I have evox up I notice the Ip that I use to log in with through Flash keeps changing each time I reboot. This never use to happen. I am going through a linksys router. Any help on this matter would be awesome. Heres what I have.

Elite ninja do you think its possible to try the method mentioned above by jizb. It would be annoying, but theres a chance of getting live back without searching for a new eeprom, and you would be doing the community a great justice.
