who here has the headset and adapter? i'm thinking of buying one for rainbow six 3, but will i be able to talk to everyone i play online in any online game? i don't have live, but i use xboxconnect. so far, i've only heard people talk in rainbow six 3.

I don't use xbc but any game that supports Live should support chat on xbc as it is built into the game. So I would say that getting a communicator is worth it. I have one and it makes the game better when I was playing on Xlink.

Ya, u'll definitely want to pick one up. We usually make fun of people on xlink who dont use headsets !

No, that is untrue.

Headsets work in some system link games. Not all games do. Read a pinned topic in "Other Online Gaming" about this.

It doesn't matter if it has Live. Depends if it is built into system link.

Ok.......So I was told wrong. Not like I checked every Live game out there as I was just going by what I was told, I stand corrected.

Just go get Live ostraninie since most tunneling software is just used for Halo anyway. The rest of the games are normally empty plus going between PC and xbox sucks. Get Live and save yourself some hassle(for games with Live support anyway as it will not work with games like Halo).

The current batch of system link games DO NOT suck. Just look at the reviews for R6, Crimson Skies, etc, amazing when played thru Xlink / Kai / XBConnect. Sure, there's still lots of Halo, but other games are getting more popular.

R6 with headset is simply amazing. I often use it and Boxlink to talk to my cousin back in England!!

Make the plunge, get a headset.

The heaset is a must have for Rainbow six ATLEAST. This is a totally differnent game when you can communicate with your team.
