I installed a xecuter 2.3 lite+ chip inmy ver.1.0 xbox and now even with the chip disabled it won't read any original xbox games. I just get a prompt saying that it cannot read the disc. I don't know what to do at this point. Can I replace the drive? Anyone that can help please give ideas. Thanks.

Yeah, its pretty easy to replace the drives. You just swap em out.

Did you drop your drive on the floor while you were installing your chip?

If your drive won't read originals you have a couple options: you can try the pot tweak procedure to try to increase to sensitivity of the laser to read your media, or you can buy a whole new drive from a place such as llama.com. There is nothing to installing a new xbox dvd drive, it's just a matter of taking the old one out, and plugging the new one in (without dropping it wink.gif ).

EDIT: Sheez, $150 for a Samsung drive?? It'd be cheaper to buy a new xbox, take the dvd drive out, put the broken one in then sell it for $50 bucks to llama.com as a broken xbox.
