Hey I just hooked my buddy up with a 120gb hd in his xbox and i have a 250gb working perfect. Now I tried to transfer xbox to xbox with ftp using the tuturial in tuts section but they only transfer at less than 1mb/sec and it stops after a few files and crashes or something. I tried using 2 Nics to do this but i could only get 1 xbox to connect to the comp at a time (prob a problem with assigning the IP to the nic) because that is what made the difference in which xbox would connect. i ended up using a hub to connect them and everything worked find but after some time the transfers just stopped, i don't know why. Is there a faster way to get my files onto his, not just ftp, or is ftp the fastest way???

I've always been blown away by Avalaunch's faster than normal on "-X- person's" LAN. I don't know about going through a HUB, but I've had excelent result through my router transfering between my 2 xboxes.

Just boot both to Avalaunch, and go into file manager on one of them. Hit start, and select "switch to remote". It should detect the other xbox running Avalaunch and you should be good to go after that.
