It just doesn't make sence. I can't figure it out. Im transfering files from a 120 gig to 160 gig. The same EXACT settings. (my friend wants to keep everything just upgrad the hd) He is running his xbox upstairs. I have the new 160 in my xbox downstairs. I copied everything except the games to the 160. So they are identical. Changed the ip's and evox runs great. On my xbox downstairs I boot 48.4 with absolutly no problems...however upstairs it keeps freezing. Ava starts, searches for a link and then finds one and freezes. I've tried everything. I tried it as the main dash...same thing..static ip...same...newfeeds off...same thing. It won't boot. In fact you can actually hear the harddrive read after it finds the link then bam freezes. Every freakin time?!?! any suggestions? I don't know what the flock is going on.

It's a no go. Nothing. Not working. It's only!!! on this box also. It's freakin unbelieveable. It works on 3 other xboxs with the same settings.

If it's 48.4 on the other box too, and wasn't before, then make sure u have updated ALL the files for ava, that is mainly the MEDIA folder
And make really sure that u don't have dhcp enabled.

Alright here are the versions. It is a version 1.3 board with a xecuter 2.3. It has the x2 4979 bios on it. With a wd 120 hd. I thought about the update problem but why would it work perfectly on the 3 other xboxs I had here?!?!? Oh man am I stumped. And it works perfectly when his 160 hd is in my box. And that is the SAME freakin settings as the 120.

Alright I fixed it on my own. Very very strange on why everything happened. So what fixed it? Nothing? It still didn't work on the 120 gig hd. I transferd files that weren't backed up on another xbox to my pc then I used my xbox and the 160 to transfer files. Then unlocked the drive and through it into the box with the 120gig and bingo. Ava worked like a charm. So what could the moral be?!? Could the reason ava wasn't working was because of the harddrive?!? Not sure but that seems to be the answer in this case.

Maybe go to the xbox memory manager under the M$ dashboard and delete everything pertaining to Ava?

Thats freakin strange. I posted under somebody elses name

I posted that solution. Deleting all of the avafiles might have worked except at my biggest time of need I deleated everything from t and u data. cleared x,y,z wiped c,e,f and statred completley clean. Still had the same results.

Well im gonna answer your topic straight up for you.
I have also tried 48.4 and found that there are still alot of buggs in it to be worked out. so i decided to go back to 48.2 which is alot more stable and i have not yet to have a problem with it. so you might wanna try that. and wait for the buggs in 48.4 to get worked out.
