I have an excuter2 chip and the system works but if I put the disk in with the dashboard on it i get this message.
your xbox can't recognize this disc. make sure it's an xbox game, DVD movie or audio cd.

why will this not load up. I want to hook my xbox up to my pc with flashFTP and I can not get it to show me
the dashboard.

i'm new at this so will someone help me out.

I rewrote a memorex cdrw at 4x and it read on my Thomson...

i have used other peoples evox discs and the xbox will not read them at all.
I followed all the steps to write a disc and i still get the same message...wtf
has anyone else had this problem??

YOUR XBOX VERSION?

Its probably just your dvd-drive not reading the media you are using.

If you can use dvd media, if not try and use cd-rw.

With cd-rw do a full erase, read the tutorials on making an xiso.

Before you create the iso get a file around 100meg in size and call it 000000.dat and put that in the same folder as the dashboard.

Make sure the dashboard is called default.xbe and not evoxdash.xbe.

Burn the xiso as slow as you can.

Keep trying and trying and trying, when i had a crappy thompson dvdrom it took me about 6 restarts to get it to read the media.
