i was adding a power switch to my controller, and when i came to this step, i soldered some points together because they were so small. i think i fixed it, but if i try it out, can anything catastrophic happen?

the points might still be touching, but i can't tell unless i try it, but i'm afraid something bad could happen if i try it. whats the worst that could happen?

[not my picture, this is from Charlie's guide] (i wish i would've realized i could've just cut those yellow wires instead of soldering that little point)

If youre that sketched out about trying it out (which yes, it could theoretically damage something, but, who really knows if it will) then go pick up some de-soldering braid and undo what you did, then redo it.

hmm, ok, if you think it could damage something to try.

It wont, I had the same problem. All that happens is the xbox wont turn off w/ the power button until you remove the solder connecting the points
