i've got a wireless keyboard and mouse that both send information through a single usb connection. i hooked it up to my xbox and it worked the first time i turned it on but afterwards it ceased to work. is it the fact that my keyboard is wireless that it isnt working or am i doing something wrong. i have gentoox and it didnt recognize the keyboard or mouse either

ok can someone help me then. my usb cord has an extension to the wireless transciever, which connects to a keyboard AND a mouse. if i have the mouse thing with it, will it still work? im trying right now and it wont work. do i have to get JUST a wireless keyboard

the keyboard and mouse data is being sent through one usb port. does this cause any problems? because it isnt working for me now, i tried and the first time it worked but now it wont. am i dont something wrong? im soldering the wires straight from the solder joints on the original controller ports.
