heres the easiest way to find out, cut off the end of the cable, splice it with an xbox controoler dongle, plug it in... and see if it works, if it doesnt work you cant do it.

I don't ~think~ it will work, same reason PC Joysticks don't work.
You could try, but instead of hacking the cable to pieces you could borrow/buy a USB adapter from someone.

Or build one, they always seem to come in useful somehow

Why can't you mod a pc joystick to work on the Xbox? I have a pc Ultraracer wheel that I wanted to get working on the Xbox, but I've been surprised by the lack of info for modding a pc joystick with a standard game port plug.

well they need drivers so the only way I can think of using it on an Xbox is through Linux

Thanks for your input guys. I added a usb port to controller port 3 and it did not work. It must require the driver for each game to be added in order for it to work, cause the support for the madcats universal wheel is in most driving games and works fine.
Anyone wanna buy a Sidwinder Wheel for the PC?
