here's my system info. phillips drive, 4980/4979 bios, and an X2.2 Pro.

i've been trying to copy Max Payne 2 for a long time. i burned it okay onto dvd-r, and at the loading screen for a detective mission, "dirty disc error". well i went and patched the xbe with craxtion, same thing. then i took the dvd and iso'd it to my computer harddrive, and ftp'd it to the xbox. same thing. i've checked the time/clock and changed all the IGR's to NO.

anything else? i'm totally pissed. other games work perfect, is there a special patch i'm missing?

thanks
Trevante
seems like you need to buy the game for it to work.

no piracy talk here.

There might be a few things left in this thread to try out.

Did I miss something? Where does he say he doesn't own the game?

I just got the game from best buy for $45. (they have a $5. coupon) and backed it up to my hd and there are no problems at all. Recheck your original disk to make sure it didn't skip while burning. What speed did u burn at?

Basically, I think it's bios 4980. I have both 4980 and E7 on my box. At first, I'm not sure what the problem is when I use 4980. It freezes when loading the detective scene. Then, I switch to E7. Everything works fine.

Yeah I was confused by that as well. I don't smell any piracy here. blink.gif
