(sorry about the few mistake im typing to fast and reading Mrrobison guide )
im really a newbie doing this stuff
i purcharsed a linksys router lastnight
is working properly , because im using xbconnect
but i don't know what wrong with the ftp setup...
im using evox
type =DHCP
the first ip is hightlight in blue(192.168.1.102) i can't change the ip here
line status
Basically you can setup the [Network] Section of your evox.ini to look like this:
[Network]
SetupNetwork = Yes
StaticIP = Yes
Ip = 192.168.0.3
Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway =
DNS1 = 0.0.0.0
DNS2 = 0.0.0.0
You may also have SkipifNoLink and you can set that to No.
Also verify your [FTP] Section looks like this:
[FTP]
Enable = Yes
Password = xbox
IGR = No
im up to these point i read mrrobison guide couple time and i can't really make flash ftp connect the xbox
can somebody tell me what im need to do ....

if you're using the settings from mr robinson's guide, then that's why u can't connect. Those settings are for people hooking their xboxes up straight to the PC. if you're using a router, u may have different settings. in evox, it seems you already have an ip address (192.168.1.102 you said), so just connect to that address using flash fxp (username and password are both xbox).

No, in my guide I have settings for people with various configs. And he is using the one for the router. He has static to yes and is getting an ip from his router, so far so good. Problem probably lies on the pc end. How many nics do you have? what is the IP of your computer? Do you have any firewalls on, even the default winxp one? Can you ping the xbox and what error do you get when you try to ftp?

yeah going back to how many nics you have soemtimes existing networks connections can interfere, i swear gettting the xbox hooked up to the pc its like a dog constantly biting your ass, soemtimes you jsut want to just kick it. so you can play xbconnect but you cant connect to your pc or your havent even installed xbconnect? you said you already were using, how can you use it if not though your pc? we need some more specs the ones he stated above your pc ip and such.
