I have been racking my brain trying to get a bios to load of some boxes that had fucked eeproms. I used the cromwell eeprom restore and even then no bios would load. Was getting flashing red. Tried 4977 and BAM! all of them boot now. What qualities does this bios have that we dont know about?

You know, I never had a single problem with the 4977 bios but decided to update to 4979.06 (repack) and started to get lock ups. Then I switched to the M7 bios and got a lock up playing True Crime. In that case it might be the game (lots of other bugs in the game) so I deleted the CACHE folder and started playing again and all is fine right now but I never had a single lock up with the 4977 bios.. Just thought I would throw that out.

I was using a 1.0 eeprom when i should have had a 1.1. Problem fixed, but 4977 works whether you have an eeprom or not. Pretty wierd.
