Ok so here's the deal, i decided to work on a skin. I decided that it would be nice to have the current song showing on the right (where the song is split into 3 clear sections artist - Track Number - Song Title this would be obtained by reading the ID3 tags of the songs.) Under here i would like to display the next song that is going to show in the same format. Then under that the one after. So basically we have a 'playlist' of songs so rather than randomly pressing x and hoping you get a song you like, you can simply choose the song you want by pressing X the amount of times down the list the song is.

I know this sounds confusing so here is what i mean in a sketch i worked up.

Please tell me if and how this is possible to find out what song is next as i believe this would be a very nice skin if it is indeed possible...

Thanks in advance

Well, if MXM is using a true random..
for this to work it would have to create a random index on boot up and store that index in a file (or memory, which to me wouldn't make a lot of sense)... so you would litterally have a 'random' index of the songs in a file on the drive... then BJ would need to implent something to be able to display the upcoming item in the index...

Afraid that is what i was thinking... the only other possible thing i could think of would be if it is possible to implement simple playlist reading.... or even if maybe it could just read the st.db file (for people that aren't using random) so that it can display the info

Well, there's work to be done on it.

As I will be hitting the music manager in the near future, I can re-write some aspects of it to handle jukebox-like features.

Note: I also plan on adding some music visualizer effects elements for skins.
