As the topic / descriptions says, what is the difference of these two files. I currently have evox and avalaunch loaded on to my xbox with xecuter 4979 bios. if I turn off my chip, i get the xbox needs service error. I renamed the original dashboard to msxboxdash.xbe per evox instructions.

In order to get the original dashboard to load when the chip is off what does it have to be named as?

I noticed I no have the msxboxdash.xbe (that i named )- 1.32MB as well as an xboxdash.xbe 752kb.

what is this xboxdash.xbe? should i overwrite it with my msxboxdash.xbe?

Sorry for such a noob question....tried searching the forums but nothing i could really find.

edit: NM - total noob. i figured it out.

okay, use XBTOOL to change the 1st boot partition name to: evoxdash.xbe

after that, change you evox's .xbe to evoxdash.xbe and put in on your C:/ drive, then change the original xboxdash.xbe which you renamed it to msxboxdash to xboxdash.xbe... it should works perfect now when you turn your modchips off or on biggrin.gifs...

anyways, your hard-drive will need to be locked to when you turn off your modchips smile.gif
